We started with a simple and soft foundation using white oak flooring and lime-washed walls to create texture and warmth throughout the space. From there, we introduced fluted walnut accents, used on the coffee bar area as well as the bench base, bringing depth and contrast into the palette. Curtains were added to soften the atmosphere further and create a more intimate feeling within the studio.
The color palette focused on mint and powder pink tones. Near the entrance, we designed a waiting area for clients with light pink boucle chairs. Then, added mint wall sconces and integrated mint tables into the bench seating. We also incorporated chairs from UNFNSHED featuring curved, wavy detailing to bring a sense of playfulness into the space. Brass pendants and a custom brass sign were used as final accents throughout the interior.
The main visual feature of the project is the peony wallpaper, bringing softness and femininity back into the space while becoming a focal point within the studio.
Floor plan
Beyond the main seating and café area, the project also includes a dedicated photo station where cakes can be professionally photographed, as well as a small play area for children while parents enjoy the space. Throughout the process, multiple layout variations and planning revisions were developed to satisfy permit and health department requirements.
